The purpose of a worksite assessment is to help create a safe and productive work environment by managing risk, preventing injuries and providing education regarding safe work methods.  Worksite assessments are completed to facilitate a safe and suitable return to work from injury with:

the identification of suitable duties and/or employment

assessment of the physical and / or psychological demands of duties at the workplace

recommendations of appropriate workplace modifications to accommodate a worker’s capacity for work

communication with the worker, their employer and the injury management team regarding return to work arrangements
